Summer’s not over yet! There’s still plenty of time to enjoy the warm season. If you’re heading to Boulder, you’ll discover this vibrant town has plenty of fun-filled activities to offer to its visitors during these months. Here, we’ve chosen some of our favorite Boulder experiences: there’s some culture, nature, and some treats you’ll definitely enjoy. A little bit for everyone. Read on to discover 5 things to do in Boulder before it gets too cold:

1. Water, Water, Water

What’s better than spending the summer in the water? It’s the season of bathing suits and bikinis, so you might as well enjoy it. But we’re not just talking about swimming. The Boulder weather in this season allows for plenty of adventures. For example, you can go tubing, kayaking, or river rafting at any of the town’s stunning waterways. Or, you can have a day at the beach at the Boulder Reservoir. Swim, sunbathe or play around on the shore.

2. Try (Actually, Drink!) Some Local Delicacies

We already wrote about where to eat in Boulder. This time we want to focus on where to drink – and what! For example, you can enjoy a wine tasting and a picnic at Settembre Cellars or at the scenic BookCliff Vineyards. If you’re more of a cider-type of person, head over to BOCO, Boulder’s first cidery, and enjoy a refreshing drink outside. Beer lovers will fall in love with the taprooms of local breweries Upslope and Avery.

3. A Day at the Park – Eldorado Canyon National Park, That Is

Eldorado Canyon is the perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts, both adventurous and cautious. Boulder trails are open here, so feel free to trek, hike, fish, have a picnic streamside, or even climb. Its golden cliffs are world-famous among technical rock climbers. Bring your kids and explore the colorful Colorado nature: cool streams, lush forests, and stunning mountain vistas.

4. Connect with the Farmer Lifestyle

Visiting a farm or connecting with farmers is a great way to unwind, learn about their practices, and enjoy their above-standard produce. For example, you can take a tour through Cure Organic Farm, featuring vegetables, herbs, flowers, honey bee hives, hens, ducks, and pigs. Another option is visiting Boulder’s Farmers Market, held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It’s perfect for choosing high-quality products for a homemade meal.

5. A Trend That is Coming Back: Drive-in Cinema

Movie theaters aren’t a thing of the past, but in times of social distancing, we have to be extra careful. That’s why drive-in cinemas are the latest (oldest?) big thing. Nostalgia lovers and movie buffs will definitely enjoy Boulder’s option. First, we have the Dairy Arts Center pop-up Drive-In, held at the venue’s parking lot. Their movie selection includes classics and documentaries, shown on Fridays and Saturdays. The alternative is the Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF) Drive-In. These showings take place every Saturday. The team has picked a collection of BIFF favorites, classics, and some recent findings.
