Short Term Rentals Regulations and Taxes: How Can Omnifique Help You

A short term rental can be a great source of additional income. As an experienced player, maybe you know that the industry has grown exponentially in the last decade, becoming a respected industry worldwide. However, homeowners and property managers across the world are facing specific issues caused by an increasing number of legal regulations.

At Omnifique, we see homeowners as our partners, so we want to provide you with a complete service that helps you understand the legal requirements in your state and city.

Why are Rental Licenses Important?

According to legal regulations, as a homeowner, you have to secure the rental licenses before you can rent your property. Each city, county and state has different requirements to be followed. Renting your home without a license can result in a series of fines. These regulations are a baseline for the quality of rental housing to ensure people are staying in safe and healthy homes.

Don’t worry. Sit back and Let Omnifique HandleThis.

Omnifique offers all its members a free Rental License and Tax Service. With it, our team of experts applies for a new Rental License or renews it, acting on your behalf. We want you not to move a finger – literally. Once Omnifique gets things done, we’ll send the document and can proceed to include the property on our portfolio.

If you already have a Rental License, Omnifique only needs a copy of the document to include the property in our portfolio. Voilá!

Lodging Taxes

In every location, each time that your property is rented, there is a lodging tax to be paid to the city and/or county. With this option, we will be paying these fees on your behalf each quarter, and will later send you a copy of all the records, so you are always in compliance. Please note that you still need to declare and pay your income taxes.

At Omnifique, we know you’re busy, so we are happy to offer a full service that deals with these time-consuming errands. It is our job to ensure that your home is always guest-ready – and this also means figuring out the paperwork. Don’t worry. We.do.it.all!
